Historical Drama - Short Film - In Pre-Production

While driving to rural Illinois to collect histories from his wife’s grandparents, David contemplates his own family tree and struggles with his many identities as a Filipino immigrant, a husband to Kate, a father of a mixed-race child, and the son-in-law of well-meaning white Midwesterners.

Slipping into an ancestral memory, David relives the brutal slaughter of his family by American soldiers during the Phillippine-American War.

The past and present clash as David’s interview reveals that Kate’s family shares a history in the same war.
